What makes the KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System permanent?
It works unlike other whitening methods because of its ability to allow the teeth to absorb oxygen and dissolve stain molecules. How does KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System combat the sensitivity issue?
Two key products, hi-white‘nd-senz and d-senz-2, help desensitize and prevent sensitivity issues immediately, before they arise.
Our desensitizing method includes organic and inorganic desensitizers that re-plug the orifices of the dentinal tubules during bleaching to reduce and often totally eliminate bleaching sensitivity. The “Hydrodynamic Mechanism” theory of tooth sensitivity states that movement of the fluid within the dentinal tubules (either inward toward the pulp or outward away from the pulp) is responsible for mechanically activating the nerves situated at the inner ends of the tubules or in the outer layers of the pulp, causing a painful reaction. When the natural plugs are lost from the orifices of dentinal tubules, this fluid within the tubules can move thirty-two times more freely, causing dentinal hypersensitivity.
The agitation from the micro-release of oxygen during bleaching not only deeply cleanses the tooth, but also actively displaces the plugs in dentinal tubules, leaving the tubular fluid susceptible to flow. The bleaching chemicals create an osmotic gradient in fluid flow within the dentinal tubules outward from the pulp. The result is the typical bleaching sensitivity, which can sometimes be very acute.
